The movie Minority Report featured a cool user-interface which was mocked up as blue LED's on the tips of your fingers being visually tracked. Combined with gesture recognition, this provided your way of interacting with documents, images, video, and other data on this big trasparent arc'd monitor surrounding the user.Not only was this very cool, it is (as I know from my old AR in the M1 tank project) actually practical to implement.
Raytheon is actually working on this for the US military...
